Manufacturing Technician/Engineer (Robotic Hands)

Zurich, Switzerland | office/hybrid | full-time | earliest start: February 2024

We give industry workers a helping hand for tedious manual labour tasks and mitigate labour shortages with a versatile automation platform. Our automation solutions driven by dexterous robotic hands and cutting edge AI trained on human observations bring a new level of AI embodiment to the real world.

 

As a manufacturing technician or engineer you will divide your time between the fabrication and assembly of prototypes and small batch series of our dexterous robotic hand hardware and the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble prototypes and small batch series of robotic hands

  • Develop and constantly improve the manufacturing procedures

  • Improve our hardware design with regards to manufacturability

  • Organise our mechanical workshop

  • Help install robots at customer sites and provide hardware maintenance and support

 

Requirements

  • Professional training (Ausbildung) or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering

  • Hands-on experience in building and assembling complex prototypes.

  • Extensive 3D printing (FDM) expertise from professional or private projects

  • First experience with casting methods beneficial

  • Experience with CAD design (Autodesk Fusion) beneficial

  • Fluent in English
